2020-2021 Season

Team News

In working further through our plan to start aquatic programs this fall, it has become clear that we need to allow time for school to get underway prior to Core commencing. We are still unsure if and when Neshaminy Core will be allowed back in the water. The coaching staff has received significant requests from many swimmers in and out of our area looking for an active program, as other municipalities have not set standards yet. It could be November, December, January or later when we get back in the pool. SAL dual meets are canceled as are most USA swimming events. We will run virtual meets, with our new timing system, if permitted in the pool.
To assess specifics of what we can offer for each program/group, we need to collect information from you. If your swimmer is interested in participating with Core this coming season and You do not sign-up through the link below by the deadline there is no guarantee that there will be a space available in our programs for your child. List each swimmer separately on the sign-up. Returning swimmers will be given first preference. The deadline to sign-up is September 27th.

Please tell us if you are interested in joining-

We are working to determine pool availability. There is still uncertainty regarding winter high school sports timing. Based on that uncertainty and other factors (including whether pools will be available on weekends), all practice times and offerings are tentative. Anticipated practice times are up in the air but below is my agenda.

Senior group/ Junior Group/Age Group

  • 4 practices per week for each swimmer
  • Monday- Thursday 6pm- 8:45 p.m. (45 minute to one-hour sessions)
  • Fridays and Saturday TBD
  • Pricing will be determined based on specifics of offerings as determined after interest is assessed based on your responses and will be shared with registration details.
  • As we work through the details, with Neshaminy administration, there may be changes, but we want to provide this initial information so families understand the anticipated procedure, changes, and safety measures.
  • Neshaminy Core will follow the Athletic Health & Safety Plan with some added procedures in light of the fact that our programs occur indoors in the pool and involve children under high school age.
  • Swimmers will arrive in suits and ready to get in pool, go home in suits, no locker room use except for bathroom needs (encouraged to use bathroom before practice at home)
  • Coaches will be in the parking lot to receive athletes (athletes wait in vehicles until coach signals to begin entering building)
  • Parents will stay in cars and not enter the building
  • No in person dry land (practices will be swimming only)
  • 3 swimmers per lane
  • It is possible that activities will need to be cancelled based on guidelines from local or state authorities.
  • Depending on restrictions, we may require strong swimmers only as we are unsure if coaches will be able to be in the water with children

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make swimming possible for our team members this fall, in these difficult and fluid circumstances.
